Howff is an old Scottish name for a 17th century graveyard in Dundee but in a more positive note it also means a drinking den, or happy meeting place. In keeping with these ideas this area of scotsmusic is a monument to those musicians who have passed on from this mortal coil but left their mark on the memory of Scotland's music tradition. Here you will find some of our ancestors whose music from the past continues to inform, educate and entertain admirers of Scotland's music the world over.
